OKLAHOMA 2011

Oklahoma city,Oklahoma,USA- Last July in Oklahoma city was held the latest Hudson-Essex-Terraplane club’s international meet. 2 Aces attended, Ken Wicklo & his wife from Winnipeg, Manitoba and Gary Lynch & his wife from Québec city, Québec.

This Cowboy city had a average temperature of 45 degrees Celcius. Very Hot indeed. Most of the Hudson cars were visited later in the evening when the heat had subsided. Since the meet was held close to the famous route 66, It was , to say the least, that we had to go and visit the famous Route 66 museum. The place included all kinds of neat stuff from the 20′s up to the 60′s. Altogether, around 140 Hudson built cars showed up and 400 some people showed up at the banquet and many were dressed in period clothing. Overall, it was a great meet and the future international meets are going to be held in Gettysburg, PA in 2012. In 2013, the meet will take place in St-Mateo, California. Finally the place for 2014 was announced officially to be Springfield Illinois. See you soon ACES!

SUMMER 2010 was a good one for Hudson-Essex owners…3 Aces attend SPOKANE! (October 2010)

Many cars showed up at the 2010 international HET meet in Spokane Washington this past August. The weather was excellent and many Canadians showed up. Our 3 ACES are Doug Hand of Calgary, Yvan Lajeunesse from  Kelowna BC, and Gary Lynch from Québec city. None of us brought their Essex at the meet mainly because of distance. Altogether it was a great place to find Essex parts and to meet friends. Only 1 Essex car was on display and it was for sale. A decent restoration from a while back and a cost of $14,000 for this 1929 beige and black Standard sedan. The charter for the Québec-Nouvelle-France-Canada Chapter was given to me by the president of HET; Mike Cherry at the annual club business meeting.

QUÉBEC MAKES HISTORY AS BEING THE FIRST CANADIAN CHAPTER IN THE HUDSON-ESSEX-TERRAPLANE

CLUB!! (May  2010)

IT’S official! The Québec-New-France Chapter is part of the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club. This winter I was real busy translating from English to French all the club’s by-laws. Now that everyone can read the rules, they have entered the club. There are 40 Hudson built cars in the province of Québec. And most have join the big club and thus becoming a chapter member in Québec city. If you are ever in Québec city, Canada. Please give us a call and we will do our best to help any Hudson club members. I will also help any ACEs who need a hand. More news to come as we will celebrate and gather as Hudson-Essex-Terraplane in many meets across the province and beyond! You are welcome to join us!

Welcome ACES and friends, (updated DEC ’09)

It was great! If you didn’t have the chance to get to Pontiac ,Michigan USA, and see all the history of the Hudson car in Detroit ,well, you lost an opportunity to celebrate, surrounded by 500 Hudsons over that week. The HET members came from all over the world and Canada was well represented. 6 “ACES” attended the party, and many more Hudson Canadians also! The weather was just fantastic and really helped to make everyone happy. There was a swap meet, a big Hudson swap meet! Everyone found something to bring home!   —-See GARY’S page!

At Essex Canada , we all help each other find parts and exchange experiences. Please feel free to browse this site and share some intelligent comments.
